Abstract

The comparative effectiveness of 33 insecticides was tested vs. grashoppers on rangeland, from 1960 through 1972. The insecticides were applied with ground equipment and from the air. Mortalities produced by ground application and estimated effective doses were relatively poor indicators of the results that were obtained by aerial application, but the correlations were surprisingly good in view of the diverse conditions of testing.
