Abstract

Insecticidal treatment of fields effectively controls the greenbug, Schizaphis gramillllm (Rondani), but it also drastically reduces the parasites of this pest of small grains and sorghum in the Central States. To study this relationship we conducted tests with parathion and disulfoton, 2 commonly used materials for control of greenbugs, and with Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Cresson), the most abundant parasite of the green bug in Oklahoma (Jackson et al. 1970).
