Abstract

SUMMARY A study was made of insects feeding on the foliage of trees in an 8-year old stand of Pinus patula Schiede and Deppe on Sheba Estate in the Eastern Districts of Zimbabwe. Seven lepidopterous species were found; these were described and mortality factors recorded. Various non-lepidopterous species were also recorded.
