Abstract

Summary The growing of eucalypts in plantations is very new in South Australia. Few insect problems have been encountered so far though Mnesampela privata and Eriococcus coriaceous have caused considerable damage. Of more recent concern are Tryphocaria acanthocera and Heteronyx elongatus. The more common pests in eucalypt plantations are listed.
