Abstract

The author presents the study of six inscriptions which were discovered at the antique Saldae. The first is a colonia Iulia Augusta Salditanorum septimana immunis dedication of an unknown monument to Hadrian, dated between dec. 10th 136 AD and dec. 9th 137 AD. An other one is an epitaph of cohors II Sardorum's auxiliary ,· the settlement of this unit in Mauretania would be dated before 122 AD. The last four inscriptions are simple epitaphs of the IInd century AD. The onomastic study reveals a very romanized society.
