Abstract
The in-plane optical conductivity ofhigh-Tccuprates in the superconducting (SC) and normal states is studiedon the basis of the slave-boson mean-field approach to the 2Dt–t′–Jmodel and the antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation correction in the framework ofthe renormalized random-phase approximation. The mid-infrared contribution tothe conductivity in the normal state and the peak/dip/hump feature of thespectra in the SC state are reproduced, and are shown to be caused by coupling tospin fluctuations, in particular by coupling to the resonance mode of the spinfluctuations.
