Abstract

Education in the 21 century requires educators to be more creative, but there are still many educators who use monotonous learning methods so that students tend to get bored and ignore learning. Purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of multiple intelligence learning methods when applied in learning Akidah Akhlak. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenemonological approach. The phenemonological approach used is the Schutz approach. Data analysis is an inductive analysis. The subjects that became the focus of this study were the Akidah Akhlak education teachers, seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah one Jember. The results of the research of the Multiple Intelligences method are effective in learning because it can provide learning motivation to students and are able to hone the intelligence of each student.

PENDAHULUAN

Negara maju merupakan peradaban baru yang selalu diinginkan oleh masyarakat indonesia, berbagai macam cara dilakukan oleh pemerintah dan masyarakat untuk menjadi negara maju. Guru pendidikan agama Islam harus mampu memberikan pembelajaran sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman sehingga peserta didik tetap tertarik terhadap pembelajaran agama islam, maka lembaga pendidikan harus mampu memberikan fasilitas pembelajaran serta bahan ajar untuk mendukung tercapainya pendidikan di era 21. Inovasi-inovasi yang bisa dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama islam bisa menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaran yang aktif dan bersifat multidispliner hal ini bisa dilakukan dengan melakukan adaptasi kurikulum, karena tanpa adanya upaya adaptasi kurikulum maka pendidikan agama islam akan tetap tertinggal jauh dan tidak bisa menghasilkan peserta didik yang inovatif dan kreative (Bakhri, 2015). Penelitian terdahulu sudah banyak membahas tentang inovasi pembelajaran agama islam di era 21 yaitu: penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Nurhidayati (2015) dengan judul “inovasi pembelajaran pendidikan agama islam berbasis multiple intelegences” penelitian ini memaparkan tentang inovasi pendidikan melalui metode multiple intelegences bisa memberikan warna baru dalam pembelajaran sehingga bisa menyatukan antara kecerdasan siswa yang beragam.
