Abstract

Metal oxide - polymer semiconductor hybrid nanocomposite successfully fabricated with a reliable and highly reproduciblesol- gel method. Structural, optical and morphological characterization of the nanocomposite was done and compared with pristine ZnO and polyanilineemeraldine salt. Formation of emeraldine base, a derivative of polyaniline, was confirmed from absorption and transmission measurements. Anti-corrosion performanceof ZnO- polyaniline hybrid nanocomposite was studied onpotentiodynamicallysynthesised cuprous oxide film and compared with pure ZnO coating.Further the results were confirmed using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopymeasurementsanddetailed analysis of the results are presented in this investigation.
