Abstract

A new method for the detection of an inorganic material with a novel electrode sensor is proposed. Interfacial impedance and water bulk resistance are studied together in a model composed of electrodes, bulk media, and electrode–solution interface. The frequency characteristic is used to measure double layer impedance and water bulk resistance. A planar electrode sensor is designed and fabricated, and the experiment shows that the detectability of ions is clearly enhanced.
