Abstract

AbstractThis panel will explore innovative applications of Knowledge Management to give conference attendees a peek at the next generation of KM from the research perspective, but including a practical spin. Some of the topics addressed will be the application of the concept of “boundary spanning” to support knowledge management innovation. Another will address the use of unfamiliar workflow models to improve knowledge transfer. The use of competitive intelligence systems technology to guide knowledge management software development will be explored, as well as other examples of the linking of competitive intelligence to knowledge management. The emphasis is on maintaining competitive edge through KM.
