Abstract

Advances in high frequency power amplifier and transducer technologies developed as part of the ONR High Frequency Broadband Array (HFBBA) Program are discussed. The HFBBA system uses optimized, co-developed power amplifiers and transmitter transducers, and receiver transducers co-located with the transmitter transducers. This innovative approach provides a scalable, exceptionally compact, efficient system. Initial test results of a fully populated 6x6 element array demonstration system are presented
