Abstract

AbstractThe article examines the state of the domestic construction industry, analyzes the dynamics of the main parameters of its functioning. Based on the analysis of the indicators of the industry's functioning, its potential has been investigated, its significance in the country's economy as a whole has been substantiated, the characteristics of the leading directions of the industry's development are given, the factors determining the competitiveness of the building materials industry have been identified. The authors focus on the role of the building materials industry in the development of the building complex and on the important role of construction of transport infrastructure for Russia with its vast territory. With the help of factual material, the problems of the industry, noted in the strategy of its development until 2030, are concretized. The dynamics of labor productivity at enterprises with old and modernized material and technical base has been investigated. The indicators of innovative activity are grouped, the specifics of the innovative activity of enterprises in the industry are shown, the reasons for their low innovative activity are analyzed, the problems of the Russian construction industry in the conditions of the formation of a new technological paradigm are identified. The forecasted data on the consequences for the sectoral labor market of the large-scale development of new technologies that meet the requirements of the post-industrial society are presented.
