Abstract
Recent meta-analyses suggest that surgical correction of varicoceles can improve the semen parameters and natural pregnancy rates of infertile men, prompting renewed interest in varicocelectomy methods. New developments, such as the use of Doppler ultrasonography during surgery, can aid the accurate identification of spermatic cord arteries during this technically challenging procedure.
