Abstract
Under the background of the era of big data, the tourism curriculum of higher vocational colleges has ushered in new challenges, and corresponding adjustments have been made in the innovation of education and teaching mode, making the tourism education curriculum model of higher vocational colleges more suitable for the era of big data. Based on the background of big data, this article researches innovative methods suitable for tourism education courses in higher vocational colleges. This article thoroughly explores the reasons that restrict the professional development of teachers’ professional competence in tourism education courses from government organizations, higher vocational colleges and teachers themselves, and on this basis, seeks a way to develop the professional competence of teachers in tourism education courses. Improve the professional competence of tourism education teachers in higher vocational colleges, so as to improve the level of tourism education in higher vocational colleges in China, and ensure the healthy and rapid development of tourism and social economy.
