Abstract
AbstractWe have conducted the first clinical trials on a new fully computerized urodynamic instrument on a referral population of 1,690 patients. The instrument performed the full range of urodynamic tests equivalent to that of a six‐channel strip chart recorder. The computer was found capable of recording urodynamic tracings, storing the data on computer files, and generating graphic summaries of test results. The computerized work station was found to be easy to operate, safe for patient use. accurate in reporting results, and durable in active clinical use. Computer technology is proven well adapted to urodynamic testing with both clinical and research applications.
