Innovation and technology management on future manufacturing

Abstract

Manufacturing is definitely very important for the sustainable growth of human being towards future global information society. Especially, the growth of the population in Asia will create a great and serious demand of indispensable products for life of people such as food, water, health, energy, housing, education, and so forth. These products must be converted from limited natural resources on the Earth. The process of such conversion should be called manufacturing in a broader sense. And future manufacturing systems must be extremely efficient and harmless because of shortage of resources and serious environment problems. Hence, innovation and technology management on future manufacturing systems is vitally important amongst all kind of technology management, especially in Asia.
