Abstract
The degree program (second subject) „Berufssprache Deutsch“, kicked off in winter 2015/16 at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat Erlangen-Nurnberg, addresses prospective vocational school teachers. While the aim of the degree program is to prepare the graduates for all upcoming tasks concerning teaching German, a special focus lies on classes in vocational preparation, in dual and full time vocational training. This paper focuses on the concept and aim of the degree program. Finally, the innovative concept for German language teachers in vocational schools will be discussed.
