Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present the ink and toner cartridges sector focusing in Greece (manufacturers, main suppliers, retailers, recyclers and remanufacturers) and the problems remanufacturers face from clone and counterfeit products. The sector's closed-loop supply chain key players are presented and its external micro and macro environment is analysed. Moreover, a survey is conducted attempting to highlight remanufacturers' behaviour towards their customers. The major findings are the remanufacturers' point of view about their customers' options and an in-depth analysis of the main reasons that put Greek individual remanufacturers' profession into transformation danger. Finally, an attempt is made in order to suggest sustainability solutions and predict future actions for the sector in Greece. The paper according to the authors' knowledge is the first to specifically capture the Greek ink and toner cartridges' remanufacturing sector and one of the very few in the relevant international research literature.
