Abstract

Injection locking of the 0.4-THz second-harmonic gyrotron by an external signal is studied by self-consistent numerical simulation. The locking of the fundamental mode (FM) as well as of the higher-order axial mode (HOAM) is investigated. The possibility of locking of different axial modes may be used for fast mode-switching operation.
