Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of using injectable CPC filled bone defects with arthroscopically assisted to treat the collapsed tibial plateau fracture. Methods Thirty-five cases of collapsed tibial plateau fracture were treated from 2004 to 2009.Which Schatzker Ⅱ 23 cases, Schatzker Ⅲ 9 cases, Schatzker Ⅳ 1 case, Schatzker Ⅴ 2 cases. After arthroscopic-assisted reduction, filling injectable CPC, through the window drilled under the articular surface and Schatzker Ⅱ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ were fixed with buttress plate. Results Thirty -four cases of postoperative incision got healing Ⅰ, 1 case of skin necrosis and the exposed parts of plants performed, Ⅱ Phase flap healed after the skin transferring.Followed up 12 -18 months, 35 patients had received fracture healing, no fracture or collapse re -occurred, no internal fixation loosening or broken and so on.According to HSS knee function evaluation based on the results: excellent in 25 cases, good in 7 cases, fair in 2 cases and poor in 1 case.Excellent rate got to 91.4%.Conclusions The method arthroscopically assisted using injectable CPC filling bone defects to treat collapsed tibial plateau fracture character as less traumatic, can discover and deal with intra -articular complications in operation, filling material has a good biocompatibility and can provide immediate stability, while avoiding defects of the autologous bone or allogeneic bone, the patient is easier to accept, and rapid recoverypostoperativeis a ideal measure to cure the collapsed tibial plateau fracture.
