Abstract

Injectable Hydrogels In article number 2101284 by Chien-Chi Lin and co-workers, a biocompatible and pH/thermo dual responsive injectable hydrogel is synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain-transfer (RAFT) polymerization and acylhdrazone click chemistry. Upon injection, sol-gel transition occurs rapidly at body temperature and the porous hydrogels degrade slowly under mild acidic condition due to pH-sensitive cleavages of acylhydrazone bonds. The slow hydrogel degradation may be leveraged for long-term sustained protein delivery.
