Abstract

Conditions are analyzed for the occurrence of flame flashover during the development of a fire within premises and secondary ignition for gas-phase combustion of PMMA in air with additions of tetrafluorodibromoethane, which intensifies the release of soot. It is shown that the phenomena in question arise with a high concentration of soot particles which in both cases play an important role in initiating flame propagation.
