Abstract
In this paper a criterion, method and algorithm for an initial planning of indoor Wi-Fi networks, taking into account both co-channel interference and intra-system interference on adjacent channels, as well as the room’s characteristics specified by its 3D map are developed. The developed algorithm based on a random optimization method makes it possible to determine the required numbers of access points and their location to provide communication for a given number of mobile subscribers in the service area. As a result of the planning, it was shown that the network parameters for the considered case were determined in 310 iterations with a full coverage of service area.
