Abstract

A report is given on current progress in evaluating emitters made from thin solid plates into which holes of the correct dimension are placed. Electron- beam drilling has provided the most satisfactory results for reproducibility of hole size and spacing. Inert gas flow testing preceded the high-temperature cesium flow tests. The flow conductance was measured in each case.
