Abstract

Abstract Acetyl-CoA was found to act as an inhibitor of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) production by a visible light redox system consisting of a water-soluble zinc porphyrin, Zn tetrakis(4-N,N,N-trimethylaminophenyl)porphyrin, and a rhodium complex [Cp*Rh(bpy)(H2O)]2+ (Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl).
