Abstract
An accumulating body of evidence suggests that cerebral RNA and protein synthesis may play an important role in memory storage (see reviews by Glassman, 1969; Barondes, 1970). The purpose of this report is to present and critically review evidence derived from studies of the effects of inhibition of cerebral protein or RNA synthesis on memory.
