Abstract
The binding of chloramphenicol to ribosomes was reversed effectively by the sparsomycin-induced binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to ribosomes. From this result, it is proposed that chloramphenicol might bind to the peptidyl recognition center of the ribosomal peptidyl transferase.
