Abstract

Successful allergen immunotherapy has been linked to an increase of blocking antibodies, mainly specific IgG. Allergoids have, in comparison with native allergens, a reduced allergenicity, whereas immunogenicity is preserved. Our objetctive was to compare the induction of blocking-IgG antibodies by a native and a depigmented-polymerized (Dpg-Pol) birch pollen extract.
