Abstract

In vitro seed germination percentages and radicle lengths ofStriga hermonthica markedly decreased in the presence of urea at concentrations which could be expected in the field after standard application rates. Relatively high concentrations of ammonium sulphate brought about a similar effect while sodium nitrate was ineffective.
