Abstract

Summary The variability of photosynthetic gas exchange parameters and dark respiration in Moricandia arvensis was enhanced by mutagen treatment and by growth of M2 plants under different light sources and after application of dimethoate. A close correlation between CO2 compensation concentration and the product of dark respiration and intracellular resistance was found. According to an earlier given mathematical model the data suggest a mean inhibition of mitochondrial respiration in light by 57 %.
