Abstract
The inhibitory effects of vinylbutyl ether, vinylbutylsulphide and propylenesulphide at various stages of cyclopentene polymerization by WCl 6-(C 3H 5) 4Si catalytic system were studied. Complete inhibition of polymerization by small amounts of these compounds is explained by the transition from propagating carbene centres to less reactive centres.
