Abstract

At the heart of community development there is the idea of change from below where the community must be able to specify their own needs and how to fulfill it. The local wisdom is understood as the idea and the effort of human beings with the use of reason resorting to act and conduct toward something, objects or events that occur in a specific space that is wise, full of wisdom, good value, planted and followed by members of its own. The local wisdom will describe how to behave and act in response to changes in both the physical environment and cultural. The purpose of this research is to analyze the pattern of the inheritance of the values of the local wisdom through informal education. This research is focused on the informal education in the family related to how the pattern of the inheritance of the values of the local wisdom. In this study using a qualitative approach and sampling method is done with purposive sampling. The data taken from the review of the document and the interview to indigenous communities and indigenous leaders. The findings indicate that the inheritance of the values of the local wisdom can be done through informal education which is done by the family to his sons spontaneously, the inheritance of the values of the local wisdom through informal education cannot be separated from the values and norms that exist in the community of informal education realized indigenous people who can maintain good local wisdom in education, health and the environment.
