Abstract

In order to clarify the mode of inheritance of resistance to tobacco black root-rot disease, gene analyses were performed with ten crosses between flue-cured varieties. Three genes R1, R2 and R3 controlling the resistance were made clear, and by the combination of these three genes, the hereditary phenomena in the resistance to black root-rot of flue-cured varieties may be approximately explained.
