Abstract

Aspects of inguinofemoral anatomy are briefly reviewed. Relevant anatomical studies are described and attention called to details of fascial-aponeurotic function in that region. Their surgical application in the technic of inguinal herniorrhaphy is suggested. The anatomical studies from which the accompanying photographic figures are taken were made through the facilities graciously provided by Professor Karl Mason, of the Department of Anatomy, at the Rochester University School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Milton I. Schwalbe, urologist at the Veterans Administration Facility at Batavia, generously prepared and made the photographic reproduction of the dissections.
