Abstract

The pulse discharge modulation method has been examined by observing the infrared diode laser spectrum of 11BF. The spectrum can be observed even when the lifetime is a few hundred microseconds and when it is seriously overlapped by the absorption of the parent species. An analysis of the spectrum leads to the molecular constants of 11BF and to r c(BF) = 1.26280(5) Å.
