Abstract

The small effective sample thickness possible with infrared attenuated-total-reflection techniques permits analysis of solutions of alcohols in water in the 0–100 % concentration range. A Beer's Law concentration dependence is observed over the entire concentration range. No large anomalies due to solvent—solute interactions were observed.
