Abstract
We have prepared a pure sample of methylene cyclopropane and have obtained the i.r. and Raman spectra. Tentative vibrational assignments based upon i.r. vapor phase band contours, the Raman spectrum and depolarization data, and characteristic group frequencies, are proposed. These assignments point out a considerable number of errors in previous studies of methylene cyclopropane.
