Abstract

Abstract Solid state infrared and Raman spectra of cadmium thiosulfate dihydrate, CdS2O3·2H2O,have been examined. The splittings and the shifts of the internal frequencies of the coordinated S2O3 anions were found to characterize bridging thiosulfate groups binding two cadmium ions through the external sulfur atom.
