Abstract

Hydatid cysts are parasitic infections caused by ecchinococcus granulosus. They usually infect the liver and the lungs in 90% of cases, while the abdominal aortic localization is extremely rare. Aortic infection might lead to serious complications such as ischemia, pseudo-aneurysm formation and anaphylaxis.
