Informit, the commercial arm of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Libraries, is a leading publisher, in partnership with SilverPlatter Information Inc, of CD-ROM databases for the education and research market in Australia. Describes: the activities of Informit at RMIT; the databases produced; links with the library school at RMIT (Department of Information Management and Library Studies); and marketing activities undertaken by Informit to sell its products. Concludes with a listing of specific Informit CD-ROM databases.
