Abstract

Multimodal CT has taken on a fundamental role in the clinical and therapeutic management of patients with acute ischemic strokes. Because CT findings are included in the criteria for deciding on treatment options for patients with acute ischemic strokes in clinical trials, the radiology report must be clear, precise, homogeneous, and fast. The introduction of semi-automatic image-processing software has occasionally led to decision making based on imaging tests that lack the necessary quality and appropriate technical supervision to ensure optimal diagnosis. To fulfill the criteria of quality and usefulness, the radiology report must be thoroughly protocolized. This paper describes a protocolized radiology report for multimodal CT studies in patients with suspected ischemic strokes.
