Abstract
The Information Technology (ICT) sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in Latvia. The leading enterprises of the information technology (IT) sector in Latvia are analysed in the paper providing as well an insight into main financial results of these enterprises in 2017- 2018. The aim of the study is to describe the changes in financial performance of the leading companies in the information technology sector in Latvia in 2017-2018, by examining the case of Tieto Latvia. The authors defined following tasks: (1) to describe the key financial indicators of leading companies in the IT sector for 2017 and 2018; (2) describe the main indicators and services of the global financial services centre of Tieto Latvia. The article contains a novelty, as it describes the first global financial services center in Latvia. Methods used - data analysis, deductive and inductive method, comparative analysis.
