Abstract

An analysis is made of information and expert systems that are successfully used in the industry of chemical reagents and special-purity substances on the basis of IBM PC-compatible personal computers. It is considered how brand-new information technology—the Continuous Acquisition and Life Cycle Support (CALS) concept—can be applied to designing the production of special-purity substances.
