Abstract

Information security is a buzz world that has made the working philosophy of businesses, administration and society more complex. Cryptography and steganography are the twin technologies that form the building block of data security in various operating environments including the networked systems. We find that most of the security endeavors use these technologies in isolation. We propose that data can be made more secure by applying the multifold fold techniques wherein we convert the plain text into cipher text and then embed it to other media by applying steganography technique. We establish that this ensemble approach can make the security feature more robust.
