Abstract

As a part of a recent national survey, county agents in five parishes in different parts of Louisiana were asked what percentage of the requests they received for information related to insects and their control. The average reported from these five county agents was 34 per cent on an annual basis, and 60 per cent during the crop production season. The accuracy of these figures was questioned by some on the ground that the survey was inadequate.
