Abstract
An overview of the broad national objectives for agriculture in Zambia is given. The national information infrastructure is mentioned, emphasizing organized agricultural research collections. The current organizational changes in the agricultural research branch of the Ministry of Agriculture, and their impact on the provision of information services, are discussed. The Mount Makulu Research Station Library and its services are described in detail and proposals for the improvement of the agricultural research information network are made.
