Abstract

The use of information and communications technology (ICT) in education in Singapore is increasing at an unprecedented pace. With the implementation of the Information Technology Master Plan for Education, 30 per cent of the curriculum time in school will be devoted to ICT-related activities. This paper examines the main issues of using ICT in physical education in Singapore, albeit some of the issues are not unique to Singapore alone; current uses of the technology are reviewed as well as how the technology may be used in the near future. The potential pitfalls of using the technology are also alluded to.
