Abstract

The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of the use of information and communications technology (ICT) on the quality of performance of accounting students in private Libyan universities, To achieve the objectives of the study, we relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, A precise questionnaire was designed and prepared according to (Likert scale) as a main tool for collecting primary data and statistical information from the study sample, By application to accounting departments in private Libyan universities, (151) questionnaires were distributed to a sample of faculty members, A number of (143) distributed forms were received, The study reached several results, the most important of which are: The study showed a statistically significant effect of the use of information and communications technology in university accounting teaching on the quality of performance of accounting students in the universities under study, Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended: Focusing on preparing the human resource as it is the basic element in attracting, using and maintaining modern technology in a way that contributes to the quality of the educational process, Paying attention to the principle of continuous improvement in all areas related to the quality of students’ performance.
