Abstract

Abstract Labor markets can be decomposed into informal and formal labor markets. An informal labor market is the nominal market in which workers looking for a job and employers offering informal jobs meet each other. The workers holding an informal job are called informal workers and are part of the informal labor force. The formal labor market is made of the remaining jobs in the economy, which are called formal jobs.
