Abstract

The number of informally employed has been increasing under the influence of globalization, capital mobility, restructuring and labor market deregulation. Informal economy is present in all societies and at all social levels. The implications of youth work in the informal sector are multiple. Namely, human and financial resources are wasted and productivity decreases. The young do not have social protection, security, or labor rights protection. The paper focuses on the representation of young people in the informal economy in Serbia, examining trends and factors that influence their formation. Work engagement of young people in the informal economy can negatively affect their future perception of the society in which they live, earn a living and educate themselves.

TEORIJA I PRAKSA

Sažetak: Broj neformalno zaposlenih po ećavao se pod uticajem globalizacije, mobilnosti kapitala, restrukturiranja, deregulacije tržišta rada. Neformalna ekonomija je prisutna u svim društvima i na svim društvenim nivoima. Implikacije rada mladih u neformalnom sektoru su višestruke. Dolazi do traćenja ljudskog i nansijskog resursa, smanjuje se produktivnost. U radu se ispituje zastupljenost mladih u neformalnoj ekonomiji u Srbiji, trendo i, kao i faktori koji utiču na njiho o formiranje. Radno angažovanje mladih u neformalnoj ekonomiji može negativno uticati na njiho u buduću percepciju društva u kome žive, privređuju, obrazuju se. Tranzicione reforme dovele su do porasta broja nezaposlenih. U takvoj klimi, mladi sa manje radnog iskustva bili su marginalizovani na tržištu rada.
